The Village of Sebewaing completed a five year Recreation Plan which will be used to apply for different grants for the Village’s Parks.  A survey was taken as part of the Recreation Plan to determine what people want to see improved in the Parks.  The largest request was improving the Main Park Restrooms.

The Village applied for and was awarded the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund Grant to demolish the existing restroom and construct a new universally accessible restroom in the Main Park at a projected cost of $220,000.  The grant is a 50/50 match; therefore, the Grant will be matching funds up to $100,000 leaving the Village’s portion at $120,000.  Since the Village of Sebewaing was successful in receiving the grant, the matching money has been included in the Village’s Park Budget for the construction completed in 2017.
Despite the project being complete, the Village still needs assistance from the community to help with the matching funds.  We are asking for your tax deductible donation to help in supporting this endeavor.

All money donated has been and will be ear marked and placed in a separate account which will only be used for Park Improvements.  A Donor Board is on site recognizing those who have donated $500 or more towards this project.
