SEBEWAING, Huron County, Michigan
Sebewaing is well known for its great walleye fishing, duck & pheasant hunting. Waterfowl Season is from October 1 – December 1.
Pheasants by the thousands were what brought fame to the area in the 1940s to mid-1960s. Those were the years when opening day of the pheasant season brought hunters by the carloads into the Western Thumb. The woods were full of elk, deer, bear and game birds, and the streams and bay were inhabited by pike, pickerel and sturgeon. The Sebewaing Harbor Marina was later dedicated in 1996.
